U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Awards Homeland Contracting a $295K+ Contract

Chesapeake, VA – November 10, 2010:  The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has awarded Chesapeake contractor, Homeland Contracting Corporation, a Design/Build contract at Mackay Island and Carova, North Carolina.  The $295,000 contract was awarded on September 9, 2010.

The scope of work involves the design and construction of a bunkhouse and scenic overlook. Work includes the construction of a 700+ square foot bunkhouse located in Carova, North Carolina. The bunkhouse shall be constructed to LEED Silver requirements. Work also includes the construction of a timber walkway and scenic overlook at Mackay Island for viewing native and migratory waterfowl. The expected date of completion is July 28, 2011.
