Chesapeake, VA – July 14, 2010: On May 28, 2010 the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington, NC awarded Homeland Contracting Corporation a contract in the amount of $596,168. The project will last 180 days and will occur at the John H. Kerr Dam and Lake in Mecklenburg County, VA. The project consist of extending water and electrical service to provide RV hook-ups at 14 existing campsites in Area C and 30 existing campsites in Area D from the existing utility systems in North Bend Park. Other aspects of the job include blow-offs, water fountain replacements, new distribution panels, and upgraded primary service in Area D.
