Chesapeake, VA – October 8, 2012: NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic has awarded Homeland Contracting Corporation/W.M. Jordan Company, a Mentor-Protégé, a $42M design/build contract for a Consolidated Elementary School at Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia. The contract scope includes the design and construction of a new 129,000 SF elementary school facility to replace an existing elementary school. The new facility will serve 750 students, Pre-K through 5th grade, and will contain classrooms, offices, a gymnasium, an auditorium, cafeteria and restroom facilities. The design build project team includes Homeland Contracting Corp., W. M. Jordan Company, RRMM Architects and Waller Todd and Sadler Architects.
This recent award will be one of many successful projects for the Mentor-Protégé team, and is the culmination of the hard work, dedication and commitment to quality by both Homeland Contracting and W.M. Jordan Company. The Mentor-Protégé team specializes in projects that support our national defense such as the Army Training Support Center at Fort Eustis, Virginia, completed in 2011.
