This project consisted of three components: the creation of a geothermal well field to supply the new HVAC system; the restoration of the existing soccer field damaged as a result of the geothermal well-digging; and the interior refurbishment of the building.
The creation of the geothermal well field included digging 210-6" deep holes in the school"s soccer field. To accomplish this, crews worked around the clock to get the holes dug as quickly as possible, as we were working on a Summer-break time frame. Once the holes were dug, they were refilled and the field re-sodded and maintained until the children returned in the Fall.
The interior refurbishment included new carpet, VCT and paint throughout the building. New acoustical panels were added to the cafeteria to enhance the student"s dining experience. Colored panels were installed throughout the school to improve the acoustics in the hallways. Fresh coats of paint were added to entire building to give it an upgraded and modern feel.
