This project consisted of the rehabilitation of an aircraft control tower in Hangar 49, during which the Air Field and hangar remained in full operation under the control of a temporary control tower. Demolition included the removal of existing electronics, communication equipment, antennas, radios, telephones, etc. with protection for storage for reinstallation. Also included with demolition were the interior finishes and installation of new flooring, bathrooms, cabinetry, and lighting. Work also included the removal and replacement with new of metal catwalk, railings, ladders, metal siding, roofing, flashing and damaged structural items, and windows in the control room. Existing HVAC and sanitary pipes were demolished and replaced/installed with new.
